What a fantastic DVD. I watched it with tears in my eyes, I so wanted to be there! Favorite bits- well all of it really, but I especially enjoyed the singing of all the old songs. I really don't know what to say except congratulations plus, a proper job in fact ! If you are filming anything to do with Cornwall in the future,I would be interested, please let me know. I was delighted to receive the DVD yesterday.
I viewed it yesterday afternoon with my Mother who is age 91 . It absolutely "made her day !!! "...her face was a joy. She has lived in Wadebridge all her life and never been to Flora day but always wanted to. With the DVD she felt she was "really there!". I am a retired teacher and musician and thoroughly enjoyed the DVD too... The absolute joy on the interviewees faces and those being filmed show clearly you have the right unobtrusive approach, I felt the balance of history, preparations, commentary, interviews, action, music, singing, and the after-math etc, was just right... CONGRATULATIONS!!! GH (Cornwall)

Congratulations, very professionally produced; the content was excellent in not only showing the main ingredients of the day but the preparations etc., etc., conveyed to the watcher so much more than just the Hal An Tow and the Dances would have done.
You had me in tears watching the dvd.
There is nothing I would criticize but suggest that a little more of the children's dance could have been included - not that I have any child in the dance either as a relative or friend. RJ (Hampshire)
Response:Thanks for your comments, the decision not to include more of the childrens' dance was made at an early stage. This film was made for worldwide distribution, and unfortunately we are living in a peculiarly perceived world, any interest at all in "children" being seen as verging on perverted. This is not our view, but one forced upon the world by people who think they know far better than us. This way no such accusation could be made. -That's life, we’re sorry to dissappoint.
